What is CBD?
CBD stands for Cannabidiol and is a compound found primarily in the flowers and leaves of the Hemp Plant. There are over 116 cannabinoids but CBD has been studied extensively and found to potentially help support body and mind in various ways. * Scientist have found that these natural plant compounds have a better effect on the body when they work together. Meaning CBD along with CBG and the other compounds found in the Hemp plant has the potential to help with pain, stress, anxiety, insomnia, arthritis, seizures, fibromyalgia, and PTSD.* In our busy and sometimes crazy world we live in, having a natural and organic compound that may help relieve everyday stresses, may help in recovery from inflammation, and may support healthy sleep cycles, there is no wonder so many people are turning to our CBD products.

How does CBD Oil Work?
Our human body contains a vast network of receptors, called the Endocannabinoid System. This System was discovered around 1990’s and it plays a major role in regulating functions such as sleep, mood, appetite, memory, and much more. CBD has the potential to act upon the CB1 and CB2 receptors located in the Endocannabinoid System. CBD not only has the potential to help to maintain vital health functions, but it also may help restore the homeostasis, or balance, within our body. CBD can be consumed in many different ways and we at CBD Farmacy are happy to explain the many ways and help determine the best option for you.
- oil or tinctures that is placed under the tongue twice a day
- edibles such as gummies, cookies, teas and coffee
- topicals that can be applied directly to the body
- safe vaping of CBD, and
- smoking the hemp flower directly
Is CBD Oil Legal?
The 2014 Federal Farm Bill granted state governments the legal right to grow and research industrial hemp through state-regulated agriculture and pilot programs. It also classified hemp and hemp-derived products with less than 0.3% THC separate from marijuana cannabis. With the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, it allowed for growing, production, and manufacturing of hemp to be federally legalized. While also allowing hemp-derived products, such as CBD oil, to become more readily available. This Bill in 2018 removed industrial hemp from the Federal Controlled Substance List as a Schedule 1 drug. Cannabis is the plant most everyone is familiar with but what many do not realize is that Cannabis has two species which are Hemp and Marijuana. The main difference in the two species is the level of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Hemp is grown to have low THC (industrial hemp has no more than .3 % which allows it to be legal.) Whereas marijuana is grown to have higher THC concentrations and is still federally illegal.
